Zhihe’s popular 11.8m radome consists of 86 randomly oriented, polygonal panels bolted together to form 9/10th D truncated spheres over the radars. Each panel consists of a closed-cell polyurethane foam core in a fiber glass reinforced polyester laminate. The radomes were tested successfully by the China Communication Navigation equipment quality Supervising Center in Shijiazhuang in November 2001.

The radomes deliver excellent performance in adverse environmental conditions because they have optimal protection from high atmospheric salt, rain, snow and high winds and are easy to install and have aesthetic appearance.
